Empowering the Next Generation of Values-Based Leaders

The Civic Leadership & Professional Development Program (CLPD) equips emerging and established leaders and organizations with the tools to lead with courage, integrity, and purpose.

Rooted in the core values exemplified by Medal of Honor recipients, this program cultivates character, emotional intelligence, and practical leadership skills to build high-trust, high-performing teams through custom, tailored, and open educational programs for individual learners and organizational partners.

What the Program Offers

  • “Leading with Values” flagship Program with a Three-Tiered Certification Pathway: From foundational leadership skills to advanced practice and certification.
  • Custom leadership development programs with Medal of Honor Recipients focused on specific leadership needs of organizational partners
  • Core Leadership Values: Anchored in courage, integrity, commitment, sacrifice, citizenship, and patriotism but buoyed with auxiliary values like empathy, humility, and resilience.
  • Applied Learning: Scenario-based training and decision-making exercises grounded in real-world leadership challenges.
  • Relevant leadership deep-dives into critical topics like leading through crisis, building courageous team cultures, and effective decision-making
  • Flexible Delivery: In-person and virtual sessions with customizable elective tracks.
  • Earn official NMOHCFL certificates and shareable digital badges.

Our Upcoming Trainings

Leadership Fundamentals: First Responder Training

At this event, you’ll build a foundation in values-based leadership, develop practical tools for ethical decision-making, gain insights from a Medal of Honor hero and earn your “Leading with Values I” certificate. 

Instructors & Special Guests: 

  • Medal of Honor Recipient Leroy A. Petry: U.S. Army Ranger who heroically saved fellow Rangers by throwing a live grenade in Afghanistan, sacrificing his right hand. Despite his injuries, he continued to lead and fight.
  • Steven Walton: Veteran firefighter with 25 years of service at Henderson Fire Department, including 10 years as a Chief Officer. Former Assistant Program Director of CSN Fire Tech and Interim Fire Chief of Boulder City.

We unveiled our groundbreaking plans for the Center for Leadership at Patriots Point, a world-class facility designed to empower future leaders and shape a brighter future for our nation.
