Elisa Hensley

Director of Operations

Elisa Hensley, director of operations for the National Medal of Honor Center for Leadership (NMOHCFL), has been with the center since 2020. Hensley earned her master’s degree in education from Kennesaw State University and taught for 12 years in Atlanta area schools. After staying home to raise her children, she worked as a realtor and event planner.

Hensley and her family attend Seacoast Church where she volunteers in the Sisterhood Women’s Ministry leading Bible studies and as a hike leader. She enjoys cooking, hiking, and traveling with her family.

As director at the NMOHCFL, Hensley works with staff and board members to plan, organize, and execute events, education programming, and more. Being a mom and former educator has given her a passion for the values of the Medal of Honor and sharing them with others.

She and her husband, Dennis, have two children and live in Charleston, South Carolina.
