Alan Lerchbacker is a seasoned executive with a distinguished career in shipyard operations and business leadership. As the inaugural CEO of Austal USA, a prominent Australian company partnered with General Dynamics and Boeing and headquartered in Mobile, Alabama, Lerchbacker spearheaded its remarkable growth trajectory. Under his guidance, Austal USA expanded exponentially from 66 employees to over 1200, and currently boasts a workforce exceeding 5000. Notably, the company is pivotal in constructing the U.S. Navy’s next-generation LCS and JHSV ship classes.
Lerchbacker’s entrepreneurial acumen is further underscored by the successful sale of his San Diego-based firm, NCI, to YYK, after which he transitioned into consulting. His executive prowess encompasses strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, and cultivating market expansion strategies.
