Michael. C. “Mike” Manazir is vice president, Navy Systems, Government Operations in the Defense, Space and Security division of the Boeing Company. Manazir held the Navy Systems VP position from September 2017 to December 2020. From January 2021 to July 2022, he served as the Business Development lead for Boeing Global Services defense and services market portfolio in the United States. During this time, he led a team building a new digital approach to sustainment aimed at improving defense customer readiness outcomes. 

Manazir has played a key role in Boeing’s successful campaign strategies for the F/A-18 Super Hornet, MQ-25 Stingray, Orca ZLUUV, and the F/A-18 Service Life Modification Program, as well as leading the maturation of the Mission Accelerator project in BGS.

Rear Admiral Manazir retired from the U.S. Navy after 36 years of service. Highlights of his Navy career include being a graduate of Top Gun, multiple commands: VF-31 ‘Tomcatters’ F-14D squadron, USS Sacramento, USS Nimitz, and Carrier Strike Group Eight in the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower. He completed 15 overseas deployments, qualified in the F-14A/D and the F/A-18E/F, and has flown 3.750 fighter hours with 1.240 arrested landings on multiple aircraft carriers. He also completed five tours in the Pentagon culminating in his role as the Deputy Chief of Naval Operations, Warfighting Systems (OPNAV N9).

Manazir is a 1981 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science in aerospace engineering. He and his wife Kelly have two grown children and live in Annapolis, Maryland.
